Hello from Alaska!

I arrived in Sitka on Earth Day, the 22nd, and was greeted by an eagle. Just magnificent!

There are 9,000 people here, 7,000 cars, and 15 miles of road (12 miles paved; 3 miles gravel). Most of the cars remain parked, cuz people prefer to use their boats, I'm told. The ocean is vast; the mountains are snow-covered and STUNNING. The air is pristine, and the sun is out through the weekend, which is unusual, so COME ON UP AND JOIN US! After some private school shows, there are public shows Friday and Saturday (see sidebar).

After that, I'll be continuing the eco-fantasy tour, with shows in Lake Tahoe and Tucson (see sidebar). Then home to finish the new Family CD.

In May, I'll be joined by the Billy Jonas Band for shows on the East Coast (see sidebar)—bassist extraordinaire Jake Wolf, heavenly harmony-ist Ashley Farmer, and surprise guests. Send friends!
